Dear Colleague,
FAO Pharmacies Contracted to Provide This Year’s HSCB
Commissioned Flu Service
Please see email below from HSCB regarding the correct selection of employment status on the CPFV e-record.
ONLY FOR THE ATTENTION OF:CONTRACTORS PROVIDING FLU VACCINATION SERVICE FOR HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE WORKERS
HSCB
CORRESPONDENCE: Urgent –Correct
selection of employment status on the CFFV e-record
CPFV e-record – Essential
to select the correct employment status.
We have had reports of Trust
Occupational Health Departments receiving flu vaccination e-records for HSCWs
that are not their employees.
It is essential that pharmacists ONLY select ‘Trust HCW’ or ‘Trust SCW’ on the CPFV e-record when they have checked the persons proof of identity and they are directly employed by the Trust or NIAS (as per staff identity badge / payslip / headed letter etc.)
All other HSCWs need to need
logged as ‘Non-Trust Employed HSCW’
Copy of e-Record sent
automatically to Trusts if ‘Trust HCW’ or ‘Trust SCW’ selected.
As noted in the Service
Specification (9.5) – If trust employed, on submission all patient data will
automatically be electronically sent to the relevant trust or NIAS occupational
health department to allow them to capture relevant surveillance data.
Trusts must not receive patient data that does not relate to their staff so it is essential that pharmacists select the correct employment status and correct employer when completing the CPFV e–record form.
I’d be grateful if you could
highlight this as a matter of urgency to any pharmacist providing the CPFV
service.
If you have any queries about
data entry on the CPFV e-record form please refer to the Help file on the BSO website or email me
at: Greg.Miller@HSCNI.net
Kind regards,
Greg

Dear
Colleague,
The
final update of concessionary prices for September 2020 have been released and are as follows:
A lot has happened since the last CPNI Contractor Meeting
earlier this year in Templepatrick on 24th February 2020. With
the restrictions that came in as a result of COVID in March, CPNI has supported
and kept Contractors informed principally through our regular COVID
ContractorUpdate emails and via our web-site.
The last six months has seen the widespread adoption of online
conferencing software to enable face to face interaction and CPNI will host a
Contractor meeting using ZOOM software on Tuesday 6th October
2020 at 7.30pm.
Contractors are encouraged to attend this virtual meeting to
receive an update on the Community Pharmacy COVID experience to date, Community
Pharmacy Funding, the challenges the sector will face over the coming weeks and
months and the important role you and your teams will play in defining patient
care and the development of community pharmacy in 2021/22 and beyond.
Logon details for the Contractor meeting will be emailed to you
at the start of the week.
I look forward to seeing you next week.
Yours sincerely
