CPNI has written to contractors on a regular basis regarding Cyber Essentials – a government-backed certification scheme that helps organisations and businesses protect themselves from the most common cyber threats.
IASME, a cyber security certification company, is offering small or medium sized business (SME) a free 30-minute consultation with a Cyber Advisor assured by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
Cyber Advisors can help you implement essential cyber security measures and, if desired, guide you through achieving Cyber Essentials certification. It is hoped that the advisors would help translate technical controls into clear, understandable terms, while also explaining the importance of these controls, and can recommend tailored solutions that align with the size and needs of your business.
This programme is open to SMEs that:
Have fewer than 250 employees
Are actively considering Cyber Essentials certification
Are ready to engage with a Cyber Advisor to discuss their current cyber security setup
Further details on the programme and on the application process can be found here.
Contractors are reminded that the storage and back up of patient sensitive data and any amendments to your systems should only be carried out in line with advice from your IT or email provider, PMR system provider and in line with Data Protection legislation.
Kind regards
Mike
