SUMMARY

  • The third campaign of 2021/2022, ‘Boost your Immunity this winter‘, is due to finish on 31 January 2022. Your pharmacy is required to complete an online evaluation survey for this campaign. This survey is available between 1 February 2022 – 7 March 2022, and can be accessed HERE.
  • It is vital that all pharmacies contracted to provide “Living Well” submit their evaluation survey after each campaign as it allows HSCB to collate data to demonstrate the value and impact of the service to other sectors. Data also supports future commissioning and service development.
  • “Making Healthier Choices” will commence on 1 February 2022. This campaign will run for two months. This campaign aims to encourage people to make changes to their diet that will reduce weight and have a positive impact on their health.
  • Pharmacies should expect resources for the “Making Healthier Choices” campaign to be delivered by 28 January 2022.
  • Funding of £500 per pharmacy for each campaign has been agreed with CPNI. This funding will be paid in monthly instalments of £250 and will appear as an adjustment to payment on your BSO schedule.
  • There will be a range of additional resources to support this campaign available HERE.

ACTION

  • Contractors and pharmacists involved in the provision of this service are asked to review the correspondence.
  • Complete the online evaluation survey HERE, between 1 February 2022 – 7 March 2022, for the ‘Boost your Immunity this winter’ campaign.
  • Contractors are advised to minimise infection risk to promote the online resources available HERE.
  • If you have not received your “Making Healthier Choices” resource pack by 4 February 2022 please email reception.pha@hscni.net and  ensure  your  email subject heading is titled “LIVING WELL PHARMACY CAMPAIGN”.

Please find attached correspondence HERE from HSCB Pharmacy and Medicines Management team.

SUMMARY

  • Due to ongoing high demand across the region, a further temporary collection of LFTs is being facilitated by the Department of Health and Business Services Organisation.
  • Please be advised this collection is in addition to the established ordering process via Alliance Healthcare. Community pharmacies should continue to order stock in the usual way.
  • Each community pharmacy contracted to offer this service, will be able to avail of a one off collection of up to 10 cartons of LFD tests.
  • Temporary collection sites across the region have been established, with collections available on Friday 14 January and Monday 17 January 2022, however, some collection points will be able to facilitate collections on Saturday 15th January 2022.
  • Specific arrangements and the address details for collection site is detailed HERE.

ACTION

  • Contractors are asked to review the correspondence.If your pharmacy belongs to a chain, please refer to your regional manager as specific arrangements may have been made to make use of your existing distribution networks.
  • Staff collecting tests on behalf of community pharmacy should provide: Full name of the pharmacy
  • Full address of the pharmacy
  • Contractor number
  • Contractors are also reminded of record keeping and storage requirements also detailed within the correspondence.
