The COVID-19 Moderna pharmacy vaccination service is open to all eligible patient cohorts as specified and announced by the DoH (currently all adults aged 18 years and over, except care home residents). Patients in unannounced cohorts (under 18 years of age) are not eligible to be vaccinated under the pharmacy service.
Patients under 18 who are considered eligible for vaccination will be contacted by their doctor with an invitation to attend an appropriate setting such as a Trust vaccination site. Contractors will be notified of any changes to eligible cohorts that can be vaccinated under the pharmacy service.
The service will be commissioned from mid to late July 2021 until late 2021 in the first instance.
Pharmacies taking part in the Moderna service can email their pharmacy Facebook, Instagram and Twitter handles to tom.coyle@hscni.net to allow HSCB, PHA, DoH and CPNI to tag them in any relevant social media posts.
