Access to Zoom™ and Remote Pharmacy Consultations
Following discussion between CPNI, HSCB and Business Services Information (BSO) Information Technology colleagues, it was decided that community pharmacies would be supported in accessing the remote video conference platform Zoom™ to facilitate the resumption of services such as Smoking Cessation, allowing consultations to take place without the need for face-to-face appointments in the pharmacy.
This remote technology has allowed the standing up of consultation-based services and has continued to be used in pharmacies to support staff training, the Living Well campaigns and other local public health initiatives.
