Getting a head start…

As parents across the country complete the all-important back-to-school checklist, the start of a new school year is a key time for community pharmacists to promote treatments and provide information particularly connected to children’s ailments such as head lice and thread worm.

For some parents there is still a stigma associated with these conditions and their community pharmacy is often their first port of call. In conjunction with the Minor Ailments scheme, pharmacy staff can offer reassurance and guidance on products and treatments available in a confidential and accessible setting.
